Information collected
We collect enquiry details such as name, email, service interest, proposed date and message. During an accepted engagement we may receive professional contact details and cost-support documents. We ask clients to redact identity numbers, bank balances and unrelated personal material.
Purpose and legal basis
Information is used to answer enquiries, scope and deliver audits, administer fees, maintain engagement records, meet legal duties and protect legitimate business interests. Where consent is the appropriate basis, it may be withdrawn.
Sharing and international transfers
We share information only with contracted service providers needed for secure communications, storage or professional support, or where law requires disclosure. If information is transferred outside South Africa, we use a lawful safeguard and assess the recipient’s protection.
Retention
Unconverted enquiries are normally deleted after 12 months. Engagement records are normally retained for five years after closure unless law, a dispute or an agreed requirement calls for longer. Working copies not needed for the record are securely removed.
Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you may ask to access, correct or delete information; object to or restrict processing; withdraw consent; or complain to South Africa’s Information Regulator. We may need to verify identity before acting.
